I need to resend a Gift Membership
This FAQ applies only to Gift Memberships. To resend Advent Calendars or Country Cottage expansion packs, please read this FAQ: I never received my copy, or my recipient never received theirs!
Please start by logging in to jacquielawson.com, if you have not already done so. Log on by clicking the "Log On" button which you'll find in the top right hand corner of every page of our site, and then entering your email address and password on the following page. (If there's a welcome message instead of the "Log On" button then you are already logged on!)
Then go to the Order History page (you'll find this by logging on and then looking in My Details).
Select Gift Membership from the Product Filters drop-down list. This will show a list of all the unredeemed gift memberships you have sent so far. Page through the list until you find the recipient to whom you wish to resend the gift.
Now follow the instructions below, according to the reason you are re-sending the gift.
My recipient's name or email address has changed, or I want to send the gift to someone else.
Click "Change" below that recipient. This will allow you to edit the name and email address for that recipient. If the Change option is not shown, the recipient may have already redeemed the gift, in which case the recipient cannot be changed. When you've finished, click the "Update and Send" button at the bottom of the page. This will cause a fresh notification email to be sent immediately using the new information.
My recipient didn't receive the notification email.
There are two possible causes for this. One is that the email address you gave is incorrect or mis-spelled, so it's worth double-checking just in case. If you did make a mistake, follow the above process to change the address and re-send.
If you're quite sure that the email address is correct, then the likely explanation for non-receipt of the original email is that a spam filter intercepted it. If that's the case there's no point in just sending it again, because the same thing will probably happen next time. However, all your recipient actually needs in order to redeem their Gift Membership is:
- Their unique gift activation code. To find this please check your Order History page as described above.
- The address where they should go to redeem their Gift Membership, which is: http://www.jacquielawson.com/giftsubs/redeem
So you can simply send them an email using your normal email program, including the above information. Because the email is coming directly from you rather than us, it will almost certainly get through the spam filter and your lucky recipient can just click the link and enter their activation code to start using our ecards.
